Whole-Exome Sequencing
Thanks to advances in next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies, we can sequence the genome of an organism relatively quickly and at a low cost. By sequencing the protein-coding regions of the genome through whole-exome sequencing (WES), scientists and clinicians can learn more about human diseases, develop diagnostic tools and tailor therapies for individual patients.
