Strategies for Improving Protein Therapeutic Half-Life
In the field of protein therapeutics, a protein-polymer conjugation strategy can improve the protein’s clinical potential by overcoming some of the challenges, such as physiochemical instability, immunogenicity and suboptimal circulation half-life. Knowing the molecular characteristics of a product is necessary to assess the success of a reaction and to optimize both the production process and the final product properties.
This study aimed to understand the sample's constituents at the molecular level and assess the success of the PEGylation reaction to allow the scale-up of the reaction.
